Just over a year ago, our area was in the midst of one of the most costly, disruptive natural disasters in the region’s history. With ice covering hundreds of miles of data transmission lines, communication was halted at best, and in some cases data files were corrupted to the point of non-recovery. The secret behind why some companies operated seamlessly…and why some were down for weeks…is the topic of an upcoming free program.
The quarterly “Geek’s Night Out” program features John Truitt, President of Kalleo Technologies in Paducah. Truitt will share the current and future state of technology affecting data system continuity and backup.
“Geek’s Night Out” is scheduled for Tuesday evening March 23rd from 5:30 to 7:30 PM at Red Lobster Restaurant in Paducah. Complimentary refreshments will be served prior to the meeting.
The program is sponsored by Murray State University’s POINT (Professional Organization of Information Network Technology) and EntrePaducah®. There is no registration fee, however reservations are suggested by calling (270) 443-1746 or email to info1@entrepaducah.com.
