Federal Reserve speaker a hit with local entrepreneurs

Julie Stackhouse, Senior VP of the STL Federal Reserve, speaks to local entrepreneurs and financial leaders.

EntrePaducah's primary mission is to help small business startups launch their businesses. We help them find resources, we counsel them regarding their business and marketing plans, and often we help them network with other entrepreneurs with common goals.
Occasionally, however, we need to stop and thank the entrepreneurs and community leaders whose entrepreneurial investments allow them to give generously in support of their community. They are the people who often make anonymous gifts that go toward better educational opportunities...or quality of life resources that we all enjoy.
These are the folks who don't always have time for a "thank you" lunch or dinner...and deserve a little more than a thank you card.
So, EntrePaducah wanted to offer the gift of knowledge, hence, the launch of our Entrepreneurial Advancement Series.
Since 2008, the economy is a daily issue. We watch the markets. We watch the unemployment rate. We watch our own budgets. And, we watch how the government watches our money through the Federal Reserve.
Julie Stackhouse is Senior VP of the Federal Reserve Bank in St. Louis...and the first speaker to appear for our Entrepreneurial Advancement Series.
Wednesday night (5-26-10), Julie took guests through the beginnings of the fatal "housing bubble" to a current day look at the regulations that ensued. She also offered a timely explanation of the chaotic financial situation in Europe and how it could eventually affect the United States' economy.
So, one more thanks to our local entrepreneurs and financial leaders...we hope to see you again soon at the next program!
